摘要:The fast pace of changes is a distinguishing feature of the present time. Life cycles of products are shortening, production technologies are evolving at a vertiginous speed. In particular, the wood processing companies are more and more focusing on requirements and expectations of customers – made-to-measure contracts are extremely popular. The companies that want to prosper in this fast changing environment have to choose an appropriate strategy. They have to apply and monitor this strategy rigorously, otherwise they will fall behind their competitors and their success in the given market segment will decrease. As part of cooperation with the real life users, a Balanced Scorecard (hereafter just BSC) application task was carried out in a wood processing company to support the efficient connection of the EFQM Excellence Model enablers and results criteria. The contribution is the part of project VEGA number 1/0229/08 focused on quality management solved at the Department of Quality Engineering, MTF STU Trnava.
