摘要：Managers and their ability significantly influence success of companies. Managerial competencies as a set of skills, knowledge and ability to successfully meet the challenges may have a crucial role in achieving company competitiveness. To understand and be familiar with these competencies is important for companies business. Article focuses on the application of a competency approach in selected companies in Slovakia and describes assessment of managerial competencies.
