摘要:Background and Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the brain cognitive functions of medical students with high and low academic performances.Materials and Methods: The research sample consisted of all students at the Lorestan University of Medical Science.A sample of 120 students with low academic performance and 120 students with high academic performance were selected randomly.A questionnaire was used to gather information on cognitive abilities.Data was analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance through SPSS19.Results: The findings showed that there is a significant difference between students with high and low academic performances.That is,individuals with greater cognitive abilities had high academic performances.Conclusion: The results of this study have important implications in terms of improving the quality of teaching and learning through taking into account the brain cognitive abilities.
