摘要:Higher education and Islamic boarding school are two educational that have many differences.In Islamic boarding school,the kyai becomes a major figure that positioned as important role,unlike the case with Higher Education is a form of formal organization that has a good structure,function and bureaucracy,which is not only dependent on just one figure. Teacher is a major component of communication in Islamic boarding schools. At present,many Islamic boarding school open a higher education institutions, so unsurprisingly many kyai will also concurrently be leaders in that institutions. This paper analyzes deeper about communication models are used by kyai at the IDIA Prenduan Sumenep. This campus is an institution that provides boarding school system under responsibility of the Al-Amien Prenduan boarding school. The results found that the communication model used by kyai IDIA Prenduan contained seven communication models namely: one-way self-action communication model,interactive communication model, transaction communication model,transmission communication model,ritual and expressive communication model,publicity communication model,and reception communication model..
