标题：INVESTIGATION OF SHOPPING AREAS AS A URBAN RECREATION AREA: TRABZON SAMPLE

摘要：Rapid population growth in urban areas and the environmental conditions created by distorted urbanization are also causing changes in people's expectations. This situation is especially evident in settlement areas that have acquired the status of metropolitan cities. Therefore,every person who lives in metropolitan cities and wishes to have a greener,healthier urban environment as well as technological developments,the latest development of the architect,the ease of transportation,and the standard of living,as well as their increasing demands. They also want the presence of shopping centers built in city centers,places where movie theaters,theater buildings and entertainment centers,as well as children's playgrounds,walking and jogging paths,picnic areas,parks and green spaces,where people can enjoy life more fun and healthy. In this context,urban recreation areas provide residents with significant physical,social and psychological benefits,as well as enabling individuals to catch up with renewal and socialization opportunities in these recreational areas. One of the important places in the urban recreation areas is the main arteries of the cities. Within the context of recreational use in the study,the three main axes and their surrounding areas in the city center of Trabzon province and among the intensive use areas (squares) of the city were examined and some suggestions were presented. The first phase of the research is the data collection phase and the second phase is the spatial analysis phase. In this context,a literature search was conducted on the subject and problems and potentials related to the field could be determined. The results of the research show that these axes that make up the city's backbone are not protected by historical and cultural doctrines,and can not provide standards such as design elements,pavement width,amount of green space that will allow for recreation. These locations in the city center of Trabzon,which are examined within the concept of recreation and historical development,offer suggestions especially for designers,administrators and users.
