摘要：This study aims to describe the verbal repertoire of Javanese women in a social ameraction in Yogyakarta The verbal repertoire is realized on their phonology. vocabu-laries structure,and pragmatics including many factors which have influenced themThis srady is a qualitative type which posites the researcher as the main instrument. Thedata of this study are collected by using observation method and applying participantamd momparticipant techniques. The data are analyzed in three stages: open,action,andcholice The result of the study shows that (1) the Javanese women tend to have highinlomarion to lengthen and harden the volume. These are influenced by their typicalarticulation,culture,and noisy situation;(2) most of vocabularies they used show ho-merifics because they want to respect the addressors,especially in using greeting;(3)hi snlar seems to have o tission in some parts of the utterances and there revealesadihessing in the end of the utterance;all of these are assumed to be understood by themerlocutors;and (4) pragmatically,the implicature in their conversation occurs when. a caused by the factor of high. context culture and the purpose of the trade..
