  • 摘要:To investigate psychological skills (imagery-IM,peaking under pressure-PS,commitment-CT,coping with stress-CS and competitive arυdety-CA) of professional soccer players according to relationships (good,medium and poor) with their technical directors (head coaches) and assistant coaches is the purpose of the study.The population consisted of 18 professional soccer teams and its 451 professional soccer players of the'fSouth Anatolia Region“ of the Turkish Soccer Federation.Soccer Psychological Skills Scale-16 (SPSS-16) and a questionnaire were administered to 313 professional soccer players to collect data.Reliability coefficients of the SPSS-16 are 0.66 for the IM,0.73 for the PS,0.62 for the CT,0.68 Jor the CS,and 0.63 for the CA.The results of one-way ANOVA and Shejffe tests revealed significant differences between IM,CT and CS skills of professional soccer players according to their relationship levels with their technical directors (IM- F:3.17 and p<0.04,CT-F:4.62 and p<0.01,CS-F:4.64 and p<0.01),There was a significant difference between CS skills of professional soccer players according to their relationship levels with their assistant coaches as well (F:4.95 and p<0.008).There were no significant differences for the remaining psychological skills measured.
