摘要:This qualitative study was conducted to determine the problem solving activities related to non routine physics problems by physics experts. The respondents were ten experts from Syiah Kuala University. Data was collected using written test and systematic interview. The results indicated that physics experts and excellent pre service teachers have employed 20 activities when solving non routine physics problems. Additionally,the findings showed that there is one general approach adopted by all respondents when they solved non routine physics problems. The approach encompasses the following,the activities (a) listing down information,(b) identifying concepts,(c) identifying variables,(d) developing quantitative relationship,(e) developing specific formula,(f) making substitution,(g) peforming calculation,(h) making a decision and (i) checking for the answer. The main contribution of this study is a model of non routine physics activities problem solving which could be used as a guidance to help the students solve non routine physics problem.
