摘要：O câncer é uma doença que, além de debilitar a pessoa fisicamente, provoca alterações psicológicas muito importantes. O objetivo do trabalho é examinar as percepções de mães com câncer sobre o comportamento de seus filhos em relação a elas e à sua doença, bem como conhecer a sua visão sobre o quanto a doença materna pode afetá-los emocionalmente em seu dia-a-dia. Participaram do estudo três mulheres jovens adultas com câncer. O instrumento utilizado foi uma entrevista semiestruturada. Os resultados encontrados mostraram que as mães relataram mudanças no comportamento dos filhos, que se tornaram mais ansiosos, confusos e estressados após o diagnóstico das mães. Além disso, observou-se que as mães apresentaram problemas ao tentar lidar com as exigências de serem mães ao mesmo tempo em que precisavam lidar com o câncer. Conclui-se que o câncer das mães provocou mudanças psicológicas significativas na vida de seus filhos, que merecem ser foco do trabalho da Psicologia.
其他摘要：Cancer is a disease which, in addition to physically weakening the person, promotes very important psychological changes. This study aims to examine the perceptions of mothers with cancer about their children's behavior towards them and their disease, as well as to learn about their view as to how much the mother's disease may affect them emotionally on a daily basis. The participants were three young female adults with cancer. The instrument used was a semi-structured interview. The results showed that mothers reported changes in their children's behavior, who became more anxious, confused and stressed after the mother's diagnosis. Furthermore, it was observed that mothers had problems dealing with the demands of being mothers while they needed to deal with the cancer. It was concluded that cancer of the mothers caused significant psychological changes in their children's lives, which deserve to be focused by the work of Psychology.
