摘要:This article deals with different approaches to identity as it may be understood in terms of communication. The article also attempts to analyze different theoretical proposals put forward proposing the use of new virtual identities in perspectives which approximate communication to gender identity as well as to new constructions of identity. The aim of this article is to consider and explore in depth the construction and use of new virtual identity constructions. Basic questions that we encounter in our article are these: Is identity a feature of persons, an attribution made by other people, or a consequence of language needs? Do we use notions of identity as a result of perception by others, interaction with others, or as a function of human tendencies to label and to order? And to what extent are concepts of identity and communication inextricably bound together and finally interact with gender and identity in new virtual contexts?.
