标题：Los ingenieros militares en el sitio de Gibraltar de 1727 : notas acerca de las dificultades de un "arma sabia"

摘要：Son conocidas las serias diferencias que, durante el asedio a Gibraltar del año 1727, mantuvo el Capitán General de las tropas, conde de las Torres, con sus oficiales como consecuencia de su intransigencia. El cuerpo de ingenieros, creado por Felipe V pocos años atrás, no se libró de ellas y un problema de escasa relevancia adquirió notoria significación por el agravio que supuso para todo el colectivo. La correspondencia mantenida entre el marqués de Castelar, titular de la secretaría de Guerra, Jorge Próspero Verboom y otros interesados en la cuestión permite seguir con todo detalle un asunto que alcanzó las más altas instancias.
其他摘要：There are well known the serious differences between the General Captain of the troops –Conde de las Torres–, and his officers during the siege to Gibraltar in 1727; as a consequence of his intransigence. The engineers force, created by Felipe V a few years early, could not avoid it and a not very relevant problem in principle, was gaining a serious importance because of the injury it meant to the collectivity. The mail kept among marques de Castelar –in charge of Secretaría de Guerra–, Jorge Próspero Verboom and also with other members involved in this matter make it possible to follow in detail a subject which reached the highest corridors of power.
