摘要：This work aims at analyzing, based on Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), lexical-grammatical category of transitivity in editorial genre, specifically in existential processes, with the main purpose of identifying the role this category performs in opinion construction through this genre. From obtained results, we intend to suggest some alternatives to approach transitivity in Portuguese language teaching.
