标题：ESTRATEGIA MILITAR DE VICENTE GARCÍA GONZÁLEZ Y SU RELACIÓN CON EL CONTEXTO GEOGRÁFICO DE LA REGIÓN LAS TUNAS

摘要：La comprensión de los textos referidos al accionar militar de Vicente García González durante la Guerra de los Diez Años, se torna algo difusa a consecuencia de vacíos cognoscitivos relacionados con la dimensión espacial. Esta insuficiencia influye en los niveles de comprensión factual y lógica del conocimiento histórico en los distintos niveles de enseñanza, incluso en los investigadores de las Ciencias Históricas que continúan obviando los contenidos aportados por las Ciencias Naturales, en especial la Geografía, tales como las precisiones espaciales donde ocurren los hechos, las características del medio geográfico y su influencia en el comportamiento humano. En este artículo se analizan las características del medio geográfico de finales del siglo XIX, concernientes a la franja oeste de la antigua provincia de Oriente que limita con la provincia Camagüey, con el objetivo de valorar su influencia en el accionar militar de este patriota y el comportamiento de los diversos entes humanos vinculados a esta contienda. Estos resultados, además de ofrecer una revalorización de nuestra historia en los distintos niveles de enseñanza, pertrechan a investigadores y estudiantes de la educación superior en la crítica historiográfica. Para ello, se recurre a trabajos de campo en la región de estudio, apoyándose en mapas, documentos de la época y fuentes secundarias relacionadas con el tema. ABSTRACT The understanding of the texts referring to the military actions of Vicente García González during the Ten Years War becomes somewhat diffuse as a result of cognitive gaps related to the spatial dimension. This insufficiency influences the levels of factual and logical understanding of historical knowledge at different levels of education, including researchers of Historical Sciences who continue to ignore the content provided by Natural Sciences, especially Geography, such as spatial accuracies. Where the events occur, the characteristics of the geographical environment and its influence on human behavior. This article analyzes the characteristics of the geographical environment of the late nineteenth century, concerning the western fringe of the former province of Oriente that borders the Camagüey province, with the aim of assessing its influence on the military action of this patriot and the behavior of the various human entities linked to this contest. These results, in addition to offering a revaluation of our history at different levels of education, equip researchers and students of higher education in historiographical criticism. To do this, field work is used in the study region, based on maps, documents of the time and secondary sources related to the subject.
