摘要：Adolescence is an important developmental period. Young peopleface many pressures and challenges, including growing academic expectations,changing social relationships with family and peers, and the physicaland emotional changes associated with maturation. Mental healthis a broad concept, including positive mental health, mental healthproblems and psychiatric diseases. This introductory paper addressesthe issue of positive mental health, and how existing data fromthe Health Behaviour in School-aged Children study (HBSC) may beused to deepen our knowledge of developments in mental health amongadolescents in the Nordic countries.
