摘要：«Filologia mediolatina» non è una rivista di nuova fondazione: il primo numero è uscito nel 1994, e da allora la pubblicazione è proseguita con continuità (quello del 2017 è il ventiquattresimo volume della serie). Lo sforzo per aprire una nuova rivista è naturalmente maggiore rispetto a quello di mantenerla attiva, come la spinta iniziale è maggiore della forza che si imprime a un corpo già in movimento; ma il direttore, Paolo Chiesa, raccoglie volentieri lo stimolo proposto da PEML, spiegando le ragioni per le quali questa esperienza gli sembra avere ancora un suo senso e una sua attualità. Mediolatina Philology «Mediolatina Philology» is not a newly founded journal: the first number issued in 1994, and since then the publication has continued with regularity (the one of 2017 is the twenty-fourth volume of the series). The effort to open a new journal is naturally greater than that of keeping it active; but the director, Paolo Chiesa, collects the stimulus proposed by PEML, explaining the reasons why this experience still seems to have a meaning.
