摘要：Es una investigación que trata el fenómeno del estrés laboral y su manifestación más aguda: el síndrome de burnout. El estudio se desarrolló en docentes de una escuela secundaria mexicana. Se efectuó una indagación a profundidad a través del paradigma fenomenológico o interpretativo; el enfoque es cualitativo, realizado mediante un método de estudio de caso único; las técnicas empleadas fueron historia de vida, observación no participativa y la entrevista, y como instrumentos: el cuestionario y el diario de campo. Los principales resultados presentan un análisis de la problemática de este síndrome a través de cuatro categorías principales: el estrés laboral, el docente, el alumno y el ámbito institucional. En la primera se explica la esencia de cómo se percibe el síndrome; en los tres restantes se expone la percepción y vivencia del problema por el docente y sus actividades; el alumno y lo que le implica convivir con un maestro con este problema y, por último, la institución, en el sentido de cómo enfrenta lo que se vive al interior de la misma como consecuencia de la existencia de un docente con estas características.
其他摘要：It is an investigation that deals with the phenomenon of occupational stress and its most acute manifestation: Burnout Syndrome. The study was developed in Mexican high school professors. An investigation in Depth inquiry, was made through the phenomenological or interpretive paradigm, the qualitative approach, performed with a single case study method; the techniques used were life history, non-participant observation and interview, and as instruments: the questionnaire and field diary. The main results show an analysis of the problems of this syndrome through four main categories: work-related stress, the professor, the student and the institution. The first explains the essence of how the syndrome is perceived, the remaining three, outline the perception and experience of the problem of the professors and their activities; the student and what implies to share time to professors with this problem and, finally, the institution, in the sense of how it faces what lives inside of it as a result of having the existence of a teacher with these characteristics.
