摘要：Este texto destina-se a discutir a temática da educação a distância associada à teoria do capital humano. Tem como objeto de análise teórica o contexto econômico neoliberal, a reestruturação produtiva e a relação educação e desenvolvimento que tem como pano de fundo a teoria do capital humano. Os resultados desta análise sugerem a hipótese que não seria possível discutir as atuais políticas voltadas para a educação a distância fora do contexto neoliberal e da teoria do capital humano. E ambos adotam nessa sociedade um sistema intencionalmente desigual, individualista, competitivo, somado a uma concepção economicista de educação que seja apenas capaz de alimentar o processo de acumulação do capital pelas elites. Se se quiserem transformações educacionais qualitativas, é necessário romper com a lógica do capital, modificando radicalmente as relações de poder e do sistema de produção.
其他摘要：This text is discusses the subject of distance education associated with the theory of human capital. Its theoretical objects of analysis are the neoliberal economic context, productive restructuring, and the relationship between education and development, underpinned by the theory of human capital. The results of this analysis suggest that it may not be possible to discuss the current policies for distance education outside the neoliberal context and the theory of human capital. In this society, both adopt a system that is intentionally unequal, individualistic, and competitive, along with an economic concept of education that is merely feeds the process of accumulation of wealth by the elite. If we want quality educational transformation, we must break away from the logic of capital, radically changing the power relations and the production system.
