摘要：Os impasses na coexistência entre os sexos, o machismo, as relações de poder, adesconsideração e o desprezo pelo feminino se impõem com a aceitação da sociedade comoum todo, é isso não é algo recente na história da humanidade. Para problematizar essasrelações interpessoais que se manifestam entre homens versus mulheres e que têm umcomponente de poder e hierarquia, focaremos nas relações que dois personagens masculinosmantem com o feminino e para isso escolhemos Rodrigo Cambará, personagem de Um certocapitão Rodrigo terceiro capítulo de O continente, primeiro volume da trilogia O Tempo e ovento, texto épico regional do escritor Erico Verissimo e Falstaff, personagem representadonas peças de William Shakespeare Henrique IV, Parte I e Henrique IV, Parte II; HenriqueV e As alegres comadres de Windsor.
