摘要：This paper focuses on the spatial reconstruction of the territory of Egitania (Idanha-a-Velha). This Lusitanian city, founded as Civitas Idaegitanorum , maintained its urban identity during the early medieval period. During this time, the city was the centre of the diocesis Egitaniensis . Analysis of its territorial organisation, connected to the continuity of the Roman administration in the Suevic and Visigothic kingdoms, offers us better knowledge of the spatial configuration of inland Lusitania during the early medieval period..
