摘要：This paper describes the development of a geoportal of ‘hidden’ thematic maps. Particular importance is attached to the production of high-quality metadata for maps. Based on the experiences of the library of the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) in constructing the GeoPortOst portal, the workshop Maps in Libraries was conducted in March 2019 at the IOS. In its context, the papers, published in this and the following e-Perimetron issue, were presented.
