摘要:This research work analyzed the influence of reinforcement on microstructure andflexural strength of AA6063/Al2O3p/Grphybrid composite. The AA6063 reinforced withX wt.% Al2O3 (x = 0, 3,6,9,12) and 1 wt.% graphite (Gr) hybrid composites werefabricated using stir casting method. The microstructure of the hybrid composites wereexamined by means of optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. Theflexural strength and fracture morphology were studied. The flexural strength of thefabricated composite at room temperature was estimated through a three point bendingtest. Result reveals that 6 wt.% Al2O3 particles reinforced Aluminium matrix compositeexhibit better flexural strength compared to other compositions considered in this study.
