  • 摘要:Composite material is a combination of two or more materials to form a new material system with enhanced material properties. Nano Composite materials are formed by reinforcing carbon Nano tubes in a matrix, which are mostly structural. The main objective of the project is to determine the various mechanical properties of the Nano composite material composed of multi walled carbon Nano tubes blended in various quantities with the specified amount of epoxy as a matrix. The technique involved in fabricating is hand layup method and the required amount of specimen is cut down according to ASTM standards. Tensile, impact and hardness tests have been conducted for 0.25 , 0.50 , 0.75, 1.0, 1.25 weight percentage of Multi Walled carbon Nanotubes in epoxy composites. The results show that as the percentage of Multi Walled carbon nanotubes in epoxy increases the mechanical properties of composites is improved in different conditions.
