摘要:This paper aims to highlight the importance of the regular physical activity of the labor market active people. It also centralizes the current European situation. Involvement of active people in regular physical activity contributes to a better health and higher productivity. Moreover, it helps strengthen the immune system and reduce the likelihood of certain diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes and certain cancers, resulting in shorter periods of sick leave. Statistics show, that at European level, employees who practice regular and intense physical activity of at least 75 minutes per week need 4.1 days fewer sick leave than employees who do not practice any kind of physical activity. It is also noted that establishments in which there are principles of maintaining staff health, such as supporting and encouraging regular physical activities or healthy eating have a higher among potential employees and / or employees and, at the same time, the latter are more professional. Based on these findings, the Council of the European Union issued on 26 November 2013 a Recommendation on promoting healthenhancing physical activity across sectors by the population, in order to improve their health status. Following this legislative initiative and having in mind similar steps taken on their own of other countries (Sweden), the present paper follows both the current individual effects on some EU member states and also the general results of the whole EU-28.
