摘要:The removal of gaseous elemental mercury (Hg0) on the palygorskite (PG) supported CuO catalyst (CuO/PG) was studied under N2+O2 atmosphere. This paper describes the effect of CuO loading, reaction temperature, Hg0 concentration and space velocity on Hg0 removal over CuO/PG. The experimental results showed that CuO/PG had a higher Hg0 removal ability than PG, which could be attributed to the oxidation activity of CuO. As CuO loading increased (0-5 wt.%), the ability of CuO/PG to remove Hg0 increased. In the temperature range of 120-210 °C, the highest Hg0 removal ability was at about 180 °C, which might be due to the combined effect of adsorption and oxidation. As the Hg0 concentration and space velocity decreased, the Hg0 removal efficiency increased.
