摘要:The purpose of this research; individuals with mild intellectual disability sports and non-sports determine the level of emotional adjustment through both parent and teacher evaluation and also examine whether they differ according to gender and age variables at the same time. The study group consists of 68 individuals with mild intellectual disability, whom are aged between 8-12(Mage=9,78±1,30) 29 of female(%42.6) and 39 of whom are male (%57.4).Within the scope of there search, information about socio-demographic variables was collected by the personal information form created by researchers. To reach the purpose of there search; Hacettepe Emotional Adjustment Scale was used as a measurement tool. When the skewness and kurtosis values of the total point distribution of the scale are examined, it is determined that the distribution is normal. In this direction, descriptive statistics were used frequency (f), percentage (%) and t-test to determine difference in independent samples, Pearson correlation analysis methods to determine relations between variables. According to the results of their search, when emotional adjustment, neurotic and behavioural problems of children with mild intellectual disability are examined in terms of parent and teacher opinions, it is determined that emotional adaptation, neurotic and behaviour problem levels of sports children are better than non-sports children it was. When other behaviour problem levels were examined in terms of parent and teacher opinions, it was determined that the other behaviour problem levels of the children performing sports are similar to those of non-sports children. In addition, when gender and age variables were examined, statistically significant differences were found among the groups.
