摘要:Attachment is a vital neurobiopsychological phenomenon known to be dependent on the early relationship between baby and the caregiver. It mostly develops in the first year and out of repeated patterns of the primary attachment relationship. Birth order is defined as a person's rank by age among his or her siblings. Birth order is often believed to have a profound and lasting effect on psychological development. Also it has been thought that birth order has an impact on the attachment. In this study, attachment theory, attachment styles, birth order, and the definitions that thought to have an impact on these concepts have been made and also there descriptions of various approaches have given. In the other parts of the study, the results obtained from the comparison of the study data and descriptions have given. In this study that aimed to investigate the effects of birth order on the attachment styles within the framework of attachment theory, data were obtained with personal information form and inventory of experience in close relationships-II. The research group consisted of with over 18 years and 128 adult participants that have three brothers. SPSS 16.0 statistical program was used to consider the data. Understanding the relationship between birth order and attachment styles Independent Samples t-test were used for variables that consist of two components and One Way ANOVA and Post-Hoc tests were used. At the results of the analysis, it has been determined that education status and birth order affect the attachment style of the participants.
