摘要:Going through the literary garden means drawing a diagram of a myth that has fascinated artists and writers in all centuries, but at the same time means reflecting on the civil and cultural history of the places where it found his performance that original conubio between art and nature that distinguishes the space of the garden. The relationship between literature and nature that involves the interest and emotions of so many authors invites us to reflect on the possibility of reading the natural landscape like a literary composition. This article deals with the gardens described by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa in two of his works, The Leopard and Memories of Childhood . The concept of garden, the typology of gardens, the role of gardens in literature under the methodological bias of literary criticism by Sicotte (2011), Nigro (2012; 1996) e Jakob (2005) and landscape studies by Terra (2013), Roger (2009) e Assunto (1994), among others, are discussed.
