摘要:The challenges of the transition to the European Higher Education Area, together with using English as a medium of instruction among non-natives, have made visible the need to make amends to the design of the World Economic History module at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Oviedo, Spain. These are geared towards ensuring successful communication and task completion on the part of the lecturer and the students. Analysing the main threats and strengths of the current design and context, a series of sustainable reforms are put forward to improve the quality of teaching and learning for a decade, attending to linguistic nuances without compromising content nor its depth.
