摘要:Phenolic compounds are main water pollutant sources with strong toxic potential even at very low concentrations. In this study, a novel peroxidase mimics with excellent catalytic performance was developed for phenolic compounds removal from industrial wasterwater based on the uniform concave octopod platinum-copper alloy nanoframes (PCNFs). The as-prepared PCNFs performed as peroxidase mimics and exhibited splendid catalytic activity for phenolic compounds degradation with H2O2 as an oxidant. The PCNFs possessed series of advantages such as simple fabrication technology, convenient batch production, low manufacture cost, less equipment input, stable chemical/catalytic performance even under severe conditions like high temperatures and/or extremes of the pH scale. Furthermore, the peroxidase mimics PCNFs showed better catalytic efficiency compared with the natural horseradish peroxidase (HRP) over a wider range of temperatures and pH values in the presence of H2O2. The PCNFs presented quite good phenolic compounds removal from trade effluent within a 30-minute reaction period. The extraordinary catalytic purification performance of the PCNFs for phenolic compounds degradation renders its practical application in sewage water treatment.
