摘要：Nowadays there is a need to build an affordable and effective intrusion detection system. We are approaching towards making our house a smart house in this digital era. Internet of Things (IoT) conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects (things) through the Internet. IoT is the development production of the computer science and communication technology. In IoT, each device behaves as a small part of an internet node and each node communicates and interacts[1]. When it comes to our house, this concept can be aptly incorporated to make it smarter, safer and automated. Nowadays the possibilities of intrusion are increasing day by day. Lot of security companies are available towards protecting house from getting vandalized or so. But still there is no much guarantee that the housewill be safe. This paperpresents a design and prototype implementation of new security system using arduino. It utilizes an ultrasonic sensor to detect any intrusion. In case of detection it alerts the people by lighting up the LEDs and it starts to make sound via buzzer.Whenever any intrusion occurs, we can fetch the distance between sensor and object using ultrasonic sensor.
