摘要:This study examined the efficiency of using technology in teachingdeaf students the skills of reading and writing in English in theKingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study used semi-experimentalmethodology since it is appropriate for the sample of the study. Toachieve the objectives of this study, two tests were prepared -first, tomeasure the English language skills ,second, to measure theeducational computerized programs that provide suitable validityand reliability values. Afterwards, the sample was chosen from thestudents of the institutes and programs of the deaf that report to theMinistry of Education, KSA. Then the program was applied to asample consisting of 48 deaf students of the sixth grade who weredistributed into two groups, an experimental and a control group,and who were studying the English language course during the firstacademic semester of the academic year 2015-2016.In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchersprepared the instruments and made the appropriate statisticalanalysis after applying the program to the experimental group. Theresults showed that deaf students who learn by educationalcomputer software are more efficient than those who learned in thetraditional way. The results also showed that using computers in thetests helped to minimize worries and concerns compared with thetraditional tests.
