摘要：This study aimed to investigate the effect of Social Status on the social apathy of citizens. It is used survey method with t he population sample of 385 people over 18 years among the citizens of Babol.Validity and reliability of the question naire was measured by face validity and Cronbach's alpha 0/85. The results revealed that there was level of average of social apathy among the Babol citizens. The findings show that the social apathy is different in levels of education. Rate of social Apat hy in women, low academic degree, down town and singles is much higher The results show that there is an inverse and meaningful relationship between social status and social apathy, so that by increasing (or decreasing) the social status, the social apathy will be reduced (or increased)
