摘要:The effluent treatment system is a key process for the sustainable development of cities. Thus, the present work had as objective to dimension a system of treatment of domestic effluent for a residential building and to analyze the efficiency from a year of use. The sizing of the system followed the NBR 7229 and NBR 9648. Its efficiency was selected through COD, BOD5,20, pH and sedimentable solids, obtaining the following results: removal of 30,98% for BOD and 36,90 % for COD, which were unsatisfactory compared to other authors papers and with legislation, 100% for sedimentable solids, and pH remained mostly constant. Thus, it is concluded that the effluent treatment system analyzed did not promote a good removal of COD and BOD5,20. This inefficiency may be related to non-complete stabilization by microorganisms in the system.
