摘要:Long Life Packaging has a difficult and expensive recycling process, since it has paper, plastic and aluminum in its composition. Therefore, this study aimed to optimize the development of a research begun in 2015 improving the granulometry characteristics of Long Life Residue in the composition of drywall gypsum boards. For this purpose, small-scale specimens with 4, 9, 14, 28 Meshes Tyler were made, as well as specimens with the bottom of the sieve (from the particle size separation process) in order to evaluate, by tests, the performance of the specimens that presents better results in accordance with the requirements established by the current norms for production of gypsum boards (ABNT NBR). About 85% of the mass of the crude residue was retained in the 9 and 14 Meshes Tyler and these granulometries presented better performances in determination of the geometric characteristics of the specimens, determination of the mass density, determination of the resistance to compression, determination of water absorption and determination of flame resistance, when compared with previous research and samples of standard drywall specimens.
