摘要:This study deals with the attitude of Viennese consumers regarding theissue food waste. For this purpose, a quantitative survey among 270consumers was conducted. The main results are that the average of therespondents is not aware of the topic food waste. Only a few are able toname initiatives and measures against food waste. Most of them do not know in which sector of the supply chain the highest share of food waste occurs. Nevertheless especially women are concerned with the topic. The majority reports about feelings of guilt while wasting food. Particularly environmental considerations and the reduction of food waste are the main reasons for buying products, which are close to their expiration date.
