摘要：Every organized entity is culture bound. They develop some values, norms, belief systems, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations as well as some prescribed codes of conduct to guide their operations and behavior. A business organization is no exception to this rule. This study examined the impact of a family-like organization based culture on employee involvement. It adopted a descriptive approach and explored some critical value systems organizations could utilize to become operationally effective and efficient, achieve optimal growth and maintain its stability in the dynamic economic environment. Among the characteristics of a family-like organization based culture relevant for the actualization of goals and objectives of an organization are full and effective involvement of employees in all facets of organizational life, participation in decision making, employee empowerment, encouragement and employee willingness to assume some degree of authority and responsibilities and be fully committed in every activity they undertake on the job. This aspect of a unified culture will lead to employee loyalty, commitment to duty, diligence and corporate optimization or profitability due to operational efficiency and effectiveness based on proper and adequate value orientation and a balanced organizational climate.
