  • 摘要:In the field of material science and engineering, there is a great impact ever since the invention ofcomposites materials. Metal matrix composite is composite material with at least two constituent parts, one being ametal necessarily, the other material may be a different metal or another material, such as a ceramic or organiccompound. When at least three materials are present, it is called a hybrid composite. Hybrid materials are compositesconsisting of two constituent at the nanometer or molecular level. In this project, composite materials based onAluminum alloy(AL 6063) 85% reinforced with 10% wt fraction of Boron carbide (B4C) particulates and 5% wtfraction of Graphite particles is produced by stir casting method. The other specimen Aluminum alloy(AL 6063) 90%reinforced with 5% wt fraction of Boron carbide(B4C) particulates and 5% wt fraction of Graphite particles isproduced by same casting method.
