摘要:Rolling element bearings are one of the most widely used pieces in the majority of rotating machinery.Owing to the fact that they are always in the transmission path of vibrations between the shaft and the housing, thebehaviour ofbearings has a substantial influence on the dynamic properties of the equipment. Key elements thatcharacterize this behaviour are the stiffness and damping response of the bearings. Knowledge of the dynamiccharacteristics of the rolling bearing helps to optimize the operating conditions of the rotating machine in order toincrease its lifespan and reliability, thus improving its economic performance. There are little experimental dataconcerning this area. The effect of varying parameters on the stiffness and damping of a Rolling contact was studiedunder rotating conditions.
