摘要:In this paper, we have developed an intuitionistic fuzzy optimization (IFO) approach considering nonlinearmembership and non-membership function for optimizing the design of plane truss structure with multipleobjectives subject to a specified set of constraints. In this optimum design formulation, the objective functions are theweight of the truss and the deflection of loaded joint, the design variables are the cross-sections of the truss members,the constraints are the stresses in members. A classical truss optimization example is presented here in to demonstratethe efficiency of the Intuitionistic fuzzy optimization approach with non-linear membership function.We have made acomparative study between linear and nonlinear membership and non-membership function in fuzzy and intuitionisticfuzzy optimization to see its impact on such optimization .The test problem consists of a three-bar planar trusssubjected to a single load condition. Numerical example is given to illustrate our approach. The result shows that theIFO approach with nonlinear membership and non membership functions is very efficient in finding the best discoveredoptimal solutions.
