摘要：In today‘s dynamic business environment, IT departments need to meet two requirements, reduce costsand support business with higher flexibility and responsiveness of the IT infrastructure. Grid and Cloud Computingenable a new approach towards IT. They enable increased scalability and more efficient use of IT, based onvirtualization of heterogeneous and distributed IT resources.Grid environments are collections of dispersed resources that can be shared to fulfill specific business requirements.Grid computing is hardware and software infrastructure which offer a cheap, distributable, coordinated and reliableaccess to powerful computational resources. Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, ondemandnetwork access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage,applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or serviceprovider interaction. It provides a way for your business to manage these resources online. Thispapergivesunderstanding ofhowbusinesses can benefit from Grid and Cloudcomputing technology.
