摘要：O objetivo deste artigo é analisar os usos - gramaticalizados ou não – do verbo olhar , instanciados por olha , olhe e oh , no contexto de segunda pessoa do singular do imperativo, na fala popular de Salvador. Para tanto, são adotados os pressupostos teóricos do funcionalismo linguístico, sobretudo da vertente norte-americana. Para a análise, são utilizadas, como corpus , as entrevistas que compõem o banco de dados do Projeto de Estudo do Português Popular Falado de Salvador (PEPP) . Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze the usages - grammaticalized or not – of the verb olhar (‘to look’), instantiated by olha, olhe and oh, at the second person singular in imperative mood context, in the popular speech of Salvador. Then the theoretical assumptions of linguistic functionalism, especially of the North American ones, are adopted. For the analysis, the interviews which come from the database named Project of Study of Popular Portuguese spoken in Salvador (PEPP) are used as corpus .
