This is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, of the Annual Report of Information. The results showed that the microregions of the South of Brazil obtained an increasing evolution of the formal work stations during this period. The activities of Services, Manufacturing and Trade Industry obtained the highest relative participation rates in total formal jobs; And Civil Construction had the highest average annual growth rate. There was an increase in the relative participation of women in the labor market and there was an increase in the level of education of workers.
