摘要:An attempt has been made to optimize the process parameters like welding current, voltage, weldingspeed and electrode extension in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding of AISI 1010 mild steel plates of thickness 2mmthrough the experiments based on design matrix of L16 orthogonal array to obtain high quality weld bead for variousengineering applications having minimum bead width, minimum bead height, maximum bead penetration, maximumdilution percentage, high weld area hardness and high heat affected zone hardness using PCA (Principal ComponentAnalysis) based GRA (Grey Relational Analysis) methodology. ANOVA technique has been adopted to calculate thecontribution of each process parameter.
