摘要：The regional culture value is an important part in the character building process as to be a pattern in character education. The research was conducted in Karo District, one part of North Sumatra Indonesia through qualitative research to understand more about the form of application of character education in schools. Data were collected and analyzed using Miles and Huberman methods with data reduction steps, displaying data, and drawing conclusions / verifications. It can be described that the environment of a region plays an important role in developing the primary school curriculum in Karo District area.
