摘要：Facial expressions provide an importantbehavioral measure for studies of emotion and whichplays a vital role in human interaction andcommunication. Facial expressions are helpful inunderstanding the overall mood of the person in abetter way. Facial expression recognition is one ofthe challenging and active research topic in therecent years and used in many application areas.This paper presents a new method for therecognition of facial expression from nose andmouth texture features of given image. The nose andmouth texture features are extracted usingGray-Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) andextracted texture features are send to the expressionrecognition phase. Finally Adaptive Genetic FuzzySystem (AGFS) is applied for classification of thefacial expressions.
