摘要:Disinformation as a practice has been linked to the Cold War, period when both the United States and the Soviet Union created agencies to use information as a weapon of war. However, this term has transcended this historical context. Its use has continued since the end of the conflict between Americans and Soviets into the present day, with multiple meanings that have blurred its conceptual boundaries. In this article we try to critically review the manipulative basis of the concept of disinformation to define the precise meaning of this practice, which is still standing today both in political communication and international relations.
