摘要:The aim of this paper is to analyse the paradoxe proposed by Jean-Baptiste Dubosconcerning the aesthetic experience on theater according to what is proposed in theRéflexions critique sur la poésie et la peinture. I will formulate an alternative interpretationconsidering Paisley Livingston’s article entitled Du Bos Paradox. In order to do so, after abrief introduction about the theme and the work of Dubos, I will presente twoargumentative mouvements. The first, a construction of the paradox, followed of acomparison with other authors and the second, for its turn, will be dedicated to theexplanation of the paradox.
