摘要:Sometimes, there are historical novels that try to promote themselves with discourses of truth. Even they try to convince readers about the veracity of the text through the incorporation of a scientific bibliography at the end of the book. This invasion of novels in the disclosure of History and Archaeology made us reflect if they can be considered alternative sources of knowledge or they are pseudohistory that takes advantage of the aura of truth of Archaeology to sell books. In this case, it is important to know which measures must be taken by Public Archaeology to avoid it. In this article, we focus on the region of Asturias (Spain) and the historical process that led to the Romanization of the territory. It is proposed to analyze three of the most well-known novels: La Voz de Lug, Astur and La Diosa contra Roma to observe how the scientific context is used to sell them as works of historical dissemination and the reception of the public who reads them. This analysis is not intended to criticize narrative or literature, but to observe the uses and abuses of historical novels, the stereotypes that exist about this period and how the development of historical novels is contributing to the society's consideration of dissemination options from the History of the region.
