摘要:The 40th anniversary of the Société de neuropsychologie de langue française provides the opportunity to look at the recent theoretical development about apraxia. Since the work of Geschwind in the 1970s, which largely inspired the cognitive models still used today, these last few decades have seen a significant number of emerging concepts. The present paper aims to explore the evolution of these concepts, which has been used to explain apraxic disorders. Three of these concepts are more particularly reviewed here, that is, semantic memory, gesture engrams and reasoning-based approach. Although each of these processes has provided a useful framework to explain important neuropsychological dissociations observed in the field of apraxia, each of them has some limitations. In the final part of the present article, several questions that are already a subject of debate in the field of apraxia are addressed, such as the link between apraxia and body schema and the link between apraxia and the role of personal experience. We also discuss the need to propose a coherent theoretical framework to explain the apraxic disorders observed in children, which is clearly lacking.
