摘要：Government and public sector organizations around the world are facing to reform their public administration organizations and deliver more efficient and cost effective services, as well as better information and knowledge to their stakeholders. In developing countries like India, where literacy level is very low and most are living below poverty line, people are not even aware about the benefits of e- Governance activities and people do not use Information and Communication technologies much, there exist a number of problems to implement e- Governance activities. E-Governance is considered as a high priority agenda in India, as it is considered to be the only means of taking IT to the Common Public. Developments in e-Governance provide opportunities to harness the power of ICT making the business of governance inexpensive, qualitatively responsive, and truly encompassing. This paper highlights the EGovernance reform in India with special reference to the issues, challenges and strategies of E-Governance.
